Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning, it's Andrea. Right now it's Tuesday, july 9th. I'm here in Madison, tennessee, and I've been plunking around playing with my kalimba this morning. Let's see beyond that. You know the usual doing some laundry, reading some great books.

Speaker 1:

I'm reading this book right now, called the Dispossessed, by Ursula Le Guin, and I've been feeling the call to this author for a very long time. She's been in my field of awareness and I didn't know why, but I knew that there was going to come a time when we danced together, and so that's what we're doing right now. I'm really, really thinking how perfect the timing of the universe is when we listen deeply. And so, yeah it for me, this book of all her books, this book couldn't have been more perfectly chosen for the questions that have been in my heart right now, the questions that are arising as I arise. You know, as a, as a writer, as an author, I think what's so fantastic is when you find somebody who is writing in such a way that you think, my god, how, how does she do that? Where is her information coming from? Because this is so far beyond the scope of imagination, and so it's that deep tuning in to the cosmic network, if you will, that deep listening to the information that's available to us, and so some of us, you know, we reach those through our dreams. Some of us, we read and study, some of us, the information is simply there, and there's no wrong way to come to the information that we write about. Only that we discern for ourselves, you know and this, this is whether you're a writer or not but discerning that information through your body, through your heart, through your intellect, through your lived experience. So, anyways, I'm really appreciating this book right now.

Speaker 1:

Today, I want to read from you, like I said, just a short excerpt from the Calm Way, and this is the book that I spent all year with last year writing honestly, since December of 2022. And so it's a daily reader, a day book, if you will. You might think of it as a daily devotional devotion to yourself and to your own inner exploration of living life with freedom and meeting life in a calm way. So, anyways, this is from day nine. The calm way shows us we can lighten up, we can laugh and giggle in good-natured humor, we can cheer up, free ourselves from drama. As a curious adventurer, on the calm way, you might even begin to feel comfortable, no matter what is happening around you. The only outcome I can promise on this journey is that you will meet yourself and you will meet your not-self. Whether this distinction arrives as subtle or in your faith, you are not alone. Write down your questions about the calm way, then let the answers unfold during this adventure, experiment play.

Speaker 1:
